Springtime at the zoo

We went to the zoo yesterday and made a bee-line for the goats and monkeys.  Paul pushed into the petting area and ran to his little spotted friend.

Throwing sticks in the water, much like the snow at the black forest.
This chimp was great - just lounging around, legs crossed and everything.
Then, we had to pass by the goats again.  It took a while for Paul to work up his nerve to feed them.
Ice cream stands still aren't open yet, so we indulged in a little pastry after lunch.
Spinning on the merry-go-round.

This meercat was eating his lunch, which consisted of a fluffy, yellow, baby chick and fruit.  Paul was fascinated.
I took this picture of us by the flamingos.  Paul just couldn't quite grasp what I was doing.  "You don't take pictures of yourself, Mommy!
